The Synergy String Quartet is a New York City based string ensemble offering classical, jazz, rock and popular entertainment for your event. Its members are James Graseck (violin), Luellen Abdoo (violin), Joel Rudin (viola) and Peter Howard (cello). Synergy members are classically trained, but also well versed and equipped to entertain with rock and jazz, as well as European and American classics.

The quartet has recently added a special collection of jazz standards to its repertoire, including the music of George Gershwin, Duke Ellington and Cole Porter, arranged exclusively for them by award-winning composer/arranger Steve Cohen. See Synergy’s play list for more, including often-requested theatrical and movie themes such as Bolero, The Entertainer or The Four Seasons.

Individual members of the quartet have guested on the Tonight Show, appeared in film and on television, performed in the Olympics, on CD with Aerosmith, on stage at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and toured globally with the New York Philharmonic.

Together, the Synergy String Quartet has performed at the United Nations, the New York Public Library and in a command performance for the Mayor at the New York Subway Centennial celebrations. The Quartet has been featured in numerous city summer concerts, gallery openings and in a library concert series throughout the New York metropolitan area.

Thanks to a network of talented people that includes gifted composers and arrangers, Synergy is able to provide top-quality music entertainment in a variety of genres for corporate events, parties, weddings, formal concerts or any other special occasion. The result is a glorious outpouring of music - exciting, memorable, and just right for you.
